Communication Recordings

Communication Recordings started in 1998 by me and a friend of mine. The idea was simple (at least that’s what we thought), to release 7″ records with some of the great bands we knew were out there. Each pressing would be 500 copies and every cover would be handmade.

So we really made every single cover by hand. We cut, folded, pasted, screenprinted, glued, stamped, sealed with wax, punched holes, photocopied… Over the course of three years we released six records, that’s a total of 3000 covers made by hand. I wouldn’t have it undone…

One more thing. In almost every review the music got pretty good reviews, but the packaging got great reviews. Bummer…
